How our concrete benchtops and integrated vanities featured at our recent project, ‘The Olive Grove’.

We just finished filming, episode two of our series ‘At Home’ and we are so excited to show you through The Olive Grove. This home is a renovated shed on farm that has been transformed into a luxury 3-bedroom guest house. You get a sense of the inspiration for this home as soon as you drive in with the abundant wheat and canola fields either side, the olive trees right outside the home and the native gum trees that surround the shed. The Olive Grove is built on one of the oldest farming estates in the Hilltops so maintaining history and integrity for this build was paramount.

For this home, we made the concrete kitchen and laundry benchtops and concrete integrated vanities for the bathroom and ensuite. All concrete was handcrafted in the colour ‘Arctic’, to give the home continuity, creating a natural ease when going from one space to the other.

One of my favourite things about this home is the combination of high end craftmanship and how they seamlessly blend together, all of the joinery was custom made by The Joinery Store in Young with the farmhouse sink from Turner Hastings, tapware and tiles by Hardware and General.

‘The Olive Grove’ is a home that blends seamlessly into its bushy surroundings, concrete was the perfect choice for this project, it creates such an organic feel with its textured surface that has been handmade to last.

Bathrooms at The Olive Grove: -

In the main bathroom and ensuite our integrated vanity in Arctic was featured. The profile here was a 40MM thickness in our concrete colour Arctic. The vanity base was handcrafted from The Joinery Store in Young and is Melamine in Prime Oak Woodmatt.

The wall and floor tiles are from Hardware & General, they are Marfil, greige. The wall tile is a 300MM x 600MM with the floor tile 600MM x 600MM. Tapware also from Hardware & General and is the Argent Pace wall mounted basin in Brushed Nickel.

Kitchen at The Olive Grove:-

In the kitchen, our concrete benchtops were handcrafted in colour Arctic with a 40MM thickness. These benchtops were custom made to have a cut out for the Turner Hastings Farmhouse Sink (800MM x 500MM) and made to curve around the concrete pillar.

The joinery was custom made by The Joinery Store in Young and is Polytec Thermolaminate in Style 4, Stratford Profile colour Topiary Smooth.

The kitchen splashback tile is from Hardware & General, it’s the Ace Rustic white wall, matt 75MM x 300MM.
